Доброго времени суток. При миграции со Spring версии 3.1 на Spring 4.0.2. Код <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans"     xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"     xmlns:util="http://www.springframework.org/schema/util"     xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans       http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans.xsd         http://www.springframework.org/schema/util          http://www.springframework.org/schema/util/spring-util.xsd">     <bean class="org.springframework.beans.factory.config.CustomEditorConfigurer">         <property name="customEditors">             <map>                 <entry key="java.util.Date">                     <bean class="org.springframework.beans.propertyeditors.CustomDateEditor">                         <constructor-arg>                             <bean class="java.text.SimpleDateFormat">                                 <constructor-arg value="yyyy-MM-dd" />                             </bean>                         </constructor-arg>                         <constructor-arg value="true" />                                         </bean>                 </entry>               </map>         </property>     </bean>     <bean id="builtInSample" class="org.test.PropertyEditorBean">         <property name="date">             <value>2014-03-27</value>         </property>      </bean> </beans> При использовании Spring 3.1 все ок. Строка преобразовывается в дату. А проблема прозрачна: Цитата Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Cannot convert value of type [org.springframework.beans.propertyeditors.CustomDateEditor] to required type [java.lang.Class] for  Итого оно тебе говорит,  что надо подать Class вместо объекта.  JavaDoc CustomEditorConfigurer говорит, что для твоего случая нужно использовать PropertyEditorRegistrar: http://docs.spring.io/spring/docs/current/javadoc-api/org/springframework/beans/factory/config/CustomEditorConfigurer.html И последний где-то с таким кодом: Код private PropertyEditor editor; public void setPropertyEditor(PropertyEditor editor) {      this.editor = editor; } public void registerCustomEditors(PropertyEditorRegistry registry) {     registry.registerCustomEditor(Date.class, editor); } и проинжектить желаемый CustomDateEditor
