Поставил драйвера ати, вроде всё нормально.  Включаю desktop effects в гноме, перезагружаюсь и вижу только черный экран :( Если загрузиться в safe mod то всё работает нормально. Еще попробовал поменять разрешение экрана через yast - опять черный экран, через ati catalyst control center всё нормально. подскажите как исправить ось - opensuse 10.2, видяха ati radeon 9800

Почитай ссылки внизу страницы ("А здесь смотрели?") и если не поможет, напиши версию дров, вывод комманды glxinfo | grep direct и выложи xorg.conf из примерно /etc/X11/ и /var/log/Xorg.0.log

Вообще /var/log/Xorg.0.log надо желательно после проявления ошибки, после перезапуска Х старый лог вроде будет в Xorg.0.log.old, смотри по датам создания, или лучше загрузись без иксов, и скопируй его куда-нибудь. В этом логе только одна ошибка: Код (EE) AIGLX error: dlsym for __driCreateNewScreen_20050727 failed (/usr/lib/dri/fglrx_dri.so: undefined symbol: __driCreateNewScreen_20050727) (EE) AIGLX: reverting to software rendering Насколько я помню, бинарный драйвер ATI не поддерживает AIGLX, добавь в xorg.conf в секцию ServerLayout (ну или может оно там как-нибудь через гуй делается) Код Option         "AIGLX" "false" Менять разрешение через yast я думаю не получается потому, что в xorg.conf не прописано никаких других разрешений кроме 1280x1024 Посмотри еще по форумам suse, может это ихняя проблема (yast итд).

спасибо, посмотрю еще на форумах по сус. может у кого то уже было подобное.
