| Derivatives Technical Architect Key responsibilities include: • Partner with key business and IT product head to build out the strategy, roadmaps and long term plans in areas including technology, information and application solutions. • Track, evaluate and drive adoption and integration of appropriate technologies and best practices to enable rapid assimilation and leverage. • Responsible for putting into place a governance structure to ensure that technical design and implementation is directionally aligned and meets non-functional as well as functional requirements Key skills and experience • 5 to 10+ years of Enterprise or Technical Architect leadership experience • 5+ years development and implementation experience working with teams designing component based applications in Java, Oracle, Web Servers, Application Servers and middleware environments • 3+ years exposure to Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) covering Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), integration patterns, application adapters and overall understanding of designing event driven loosely coupled architectures • Demonstrates strong applied knowledge of layered architectures, databases, reporting tools, middleware, security, monitoring and high availability systems. • Ability to communicate effectively with customers at all senior, managerial and technical levels and clearly present technical approaches and findings related to resolving business problems through technology. Professional and personal qualifications • 10+ years industry experience, with either an investment banking, consultancy or software vendor background • Must be able to demonstrate strong analysis and analytical skills • Exposure / knowledge of investment banking, specifically OTC Derivatives • Proven track record of large application development / delivery, preferably on large scale, global implementations • Team player, highly motivated, practical problem solver • Picks up new technologies with ease, solves complex technical problems and multitasks between different projects • Ability to work independently • Degree Level education or higher Soft Skills • Ability to quickly establish credibility with diverse stakeholders • Influencing skills across a wide spectrum of technical and management contacts. • Good communication, networking and influencing skills • Good relationship management skills • Strong negotiation & influencing skills • Excellent command of written/verbal business English Education / Qualifications Req: University degree, likely in a numerical or technical subject Required Technical Skills: SOA, ESB, BPM, EDA, middleware, experience of TOGAF would be desirable Language Required: English |
