Our client is an up and coming (funded) startup building the next generation social auto search. They are seeking a Senior PHP Developer to scale out the development of our new search engine.
The ideal PHP Developer will be comfortable developing applications and services that leverage the Zend Framework, will be able to work within an agile development process, and be comfortable writing code in a continuous integration environment.

Responsibilities 
• Design, develop, and maintain PHP based applications
• Identify suboptimal code and refactor accordingly
• Provide unit tests and code-level documentation for all new tasks and refactors
• Actively participate in the team’s scrum and development processes (JIRA/Greenhopper/Stash)
• Develop training materials and help documentation for systems that get created
• Stay abreast of best practices by, researching new tools, enhancing and evolving new and existing tools

Skills & Requirements for Senior PHP Developer
• 4~6 years of experience and a strong passion for the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, & PHP) development stack
• Experience designing, querying, and updating both RDBMS and NoSQL data stores like MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Ability to design unit tests with PHPUnit and document source with phpDocumentor
• Knowledge of web service development and consumption (SOAP, XML Feeds, ReST, etc)
• Experience implementing a Zend MVC framework for a high volume commerce site.
• Familiarity with common PHP design patterns and their implementation
• Ability to effectively use source control systems such as GIT or Subversion (SVN)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrate a proactive, can-do attitude
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related discipline, or the equivalent in experience
