EPAM is looking for a passionate Java & JavaScript Developer for our Web UI team. We offer you the opportunity to join a project for a leading DDI market company and try your hand at the network domain. Direct communication with the customer, project’s full continuous integration, code review processes, and participation in all project phases including requirements analysis, functional specification and development – these all is a common practice on the project.

As a Java & JavaScript Developer, you will be working on a unique component-oriented desktop-level business application with web interface and the large framework. This application allows a network administrator to perform the full cycle of activities: network creation, traffic processing, etc.

Joining this project, you will get not only an interesting experience, but also chances for self-development: simultaneous participation in different open-source projects, Python and embedded Java studying.

About the customer:

Our client is a global technology company from California’s Silicon Valley operating in 25 countries, which delivers DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) technology to help their customers control their networks. The company has more than 8000 customers all around the world including airline carriers, government establishments, technology companies, and mobile operators, and EPAM participates in all development stages.

Requirements:

- 2+ years’ production experience;
- Proficient in Java: POJO, Servlets, Spring;
- JavaScript knowledge: concepts, syntax, understanding of AJAX;
- Experience with ExtJS is a big plus;
- Experience in HTML/CSS;
- SOAP;
- Familiarity with Apache Wicket and OSGi is a plus;
- Experience working in a middle-sized team;
- At least Pre-Intermediate (A2) level of English – ability to talk on technical topics;
- Excellent communication skills as a lot of communication with the customer is provided;
- Possibility to go on business trips (approximately 6 weeks long).

Responsibilities:

- Extend the framework and develop new business functionality, components and modules within Java and JavaScript;
- Communicate with the customer’s developers and QA teams;
- Communicate with the customer to clarify the issues and assist in their resolution;
- Conduct code reviews;
- Create functional specifications.
