The role: Core Delivery Java Developer (Server Side)

Responsibilities:
Application Designer / Developer. Is one the of the designer and developers on the program. She or He will be working very closely with the Solution Architecture team and the Business Analysts/ Testers to develop the design 
Specifically working on the application specific components of the solution 

Desired Skills/Experience:
Core Java - Solid knowledge, strong practical experience required (understanding the J2SE 5.0 concepts in detail, particularly Generics) 
Swing, JNDI, Threading - Knowledge and/or experience desirable 
JDBC - Solid knowledge, strong practical experience required (Good understanding in the context of Spring JDBCTemplate) 
XML - Good knowledge required, practical experience desirable (JAXB and XML Schema desirable) 
Spring - Solid knowledge, strong practical experience required (All asset servicing applications are based on the Spring framework 2.5. Core, ORM (Hibernate), DAO, Web (MVC) essential) 
Hibernate - Solid knowledge, strong practical experience required (Hibernate in the context of Spring HibernateTemplate) 
Core Oracle, SQL - Good knowledge required, practical experience desirable 
UNIX / Linux - Good knowledge required, practical experience desirable (basic unix commands required; vi, grep, ls, etc.) 
Windows - Good knowledge required, practical experience desirable (Basic knowledge of the windows OS, and office toools; excel, word, visio etc.) 
Web-based front-end - Knowledge and/or experience desirable (Specifically knowledge of Spring MVC. AJAX/JQuery would be nice) 
Thick client front-end - Knowledge and/or experience desirable (Java Swing would be nice - not essential at all) 
Messaging / transport layers (buses, protocols, etc.) - Good knowledge, some practical experience required (Knowledge of JMS, Tibco EMS nice) 
Server-side software - Solid knowledge, strong practical experience required (This is mandatory, this role is specifically server side business logic development) 
Database layers - Good knowledge, some practical experience required (Oracle experience strongly desirable, mainly SQL - execution and performance tuning. Hibernate ORM essential)
