The successful candidate will be involved into one of our challenging projects in insurance sector.

Project description:

The project is focused on development of software-as-service products for insurance companies. It’s a web platform designed for commercial property underwriting process. This process typically includes calculation of construction/reconstruction costs, estimating of the contents inside the building, and evaluating different risk factors that may apply to the property in a given location.

Your task will be to re-write the calculation engine from scratch. As the customer enters new markets, the system should be updated for work with different languages and legislative frameworks.

About the client:

Our client is the leading provider of building information to the property and casualty insurance sector. They also build SaaS web applications for property insurance process in US and Canada.

Requirements:

    3+ years’ experience as a back-end developer (or 2-3 serious projects);
    Experience working with:
    Entity Framework;
    Windows Communication Foundation;
    Windows Workflow Foundation;
    Microsoft SQL Server;
    MS SQL Integration Services;
    C#;
    .NET;
    ASP.NET MVC;
    Microsoft ASP.NET Web API.
    Excellent communication skills;
    Strong learning ability;
    Good English (enough to pass an interview with the customer).

Responsibilities:

    Rewriting a Cobol engine to C#;
    Developing a web & service oriented application for Residential insurance software.
