We are looking for an experienced professional able to architect and implement detailed design of mechanisms, devices and assemblies (telecoms, consumer electronics, IoT and other markets) as well as work closely with the client and other engineers to make sure the end product meets all requirements.

Requirements:

- 5+ years’ experience in designing products from plastic;
- Experience collaborating with industrial designers and user experience designers to incorporate their input into a product’s design is a plus;
- Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and trade-offs; communicating and prioritizing project deliverables to internal and external stakeholders is a plus;
- Expert knowledge of industry leading CAD/CAM packages (Solidworks, NX, Pro-engineer, Catia, etc.);
- Good knowledge of surfacing and a track record of working with Industrial design teams would be a benefit;
- Working knowledge of electronics design and ability to collaborate on PCB layouts and component selection as well as assimilation of complex electronic assemblies into external case enclosures;
- Expert knowledge of tooling and moulding techniques is essential;
- Fluent spoken and written English – you will need to pass an interview with the customer;
- Passion to develop successful new products and to continually improve the process of product development;
- Consulting experience is a plus;
- Solid experience managing and issuing complex BoMs and liaising with Far Eastern toolmakers and moulders.
