Description

Currently we are looking for an experienced Java Team Leader for our Minsk office to make the team even stronger.

As a Java Team Leader, you will join the distributed team to work on our client’s web site redesign and its migration to the new technology stack (Adobe EM/CQ). The challenge is to reset the existing web site and consolidate more than 50 separate client’s businesses into one perfectly working system.

The project has massive integration flows with different in-house services, thus we pay much attention to the components and code usability to use them during other site’s channels migrating to the AEM platform.

You will participate in further enhancement of already developed components to speed up the migration to AEM framework (20 site channels are to be launched next year!) and save existing functionality adding new features to it.

About the customer

Our client is the largest British price comparison web site, which allows their customers to choose appropriate tariff in more than 50 business areas, including mortgages, loans, life, car and real-estate insurance. The service provides information to a customer basing on the data entered and shows the content relevant for this particular user.


Project technologies and tools:

- Adobe CQ 5.6;
- CI: Jenkins + Maven;
- Infrastructure: Amazon Cloud (supported by Cloud Operations team);
- Version control: Git;
- Agile methodology.

Responsibilities:

- Direct communication with business stakeholders: BA, Product Owner, Project Managers, and technical architects;
- Team coordination and tasks distribution;
- Performance control and code review;
- Development planning according to business priorities;
- Managing dependencies with other teams;
- Implement solutions for digital consumer experiences based on the foundational Adobe AEM/CQ product suite, including CQ, CRX/CRXDE, CQ WCM, DAM;
- Technical problems resolution, critical thinking on development approach;
- Diagnose and solve technical problems related to content management implementation;
- Close collaboration and presentation of performed work to the customer;
- Usage of Agile methodology.

Requirements:

- 3+ years’ experience in Java/J2EE technologies;
- Experience leading a team of 3-4 developers;
- Understanding of continuous delivery principles;
- English of at least Upper-Intermediate speaking level – constant communication with the customer is provided;
- Web services, strong understanding of REST principles;
- Understanding of front-end development principles: CSS, JavaScript;
- Good understanding of web-application development principles: web-performance best practices, http protocol, session management;
- Build frameworks (Maven, Ant, Gradle);
- Understanding of key concepts of developing content management solutions;
- Experience in working with applications (Tomcat, JBoss) and web servers (Apache, IIS);
- Version control systems (Git, Subversion).

Nice to have:

- Experience in JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS, jQuery, ExtJS) is a big plus;
- Possibility and desire to go on short-term (1 week long) business trips to the UK;
- Experience in Adobe EM/CQ/Day CQ development or related technologies: Apache Jackrabbit, Apache Sling, Apache Felix;
- Understanding of responsive and mobile design concepts and principles;
- Experience with Google analytics;
- Multivariate testing;
- Good negotiation skills.
