Currently we are looking for a Cloud Systems Architect for our Minsk office to make the team even stronger.

We offer a great opportunity for a Systems Architect, who would like to take charge of architecting business enabling solutions from the Cloud.

As a Cloud Systems Architect, you will be working with Amazon Web Services cloud, platforms and languages, providing strategic and technical leadership for the customer’s business teams cloud migration.

ABOUT THE CUSTOMER


Our client is a famous provider of technical, scientific and medical information products and services with over 7000 employees. Except for printed materials, they offer innovative web-based digital solutions that serve more than 16 million professionals and scientists each month.

Responsibilities:

- Provide thought and technical design leadership to solutions in the cloud;
- Serve as a technical SME for cloud services, providers, and platforms;
- Lead cloud application architecting sessions with business evaluating tradeoffs between design, risk, and technology;
- Identify, architect and design reusable software artifacts, objects and designs for our customer’s software development teams;
- Executing rapid prototypes, and technical feasibility assessments for solutions targeted for the cloud;
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Network, Risk, and business teams to deliver reliable solutions and ensure alignment with company-wide strategy;
- Develop and integrate technical security architecture into cloud solutions;
- Apply advanced technical knowledge and skills in developing solutions or problem solving where complexity, innovation and technical expertise are required;
- Document and share best practices to business and cloud teams;
- Partner with leaders in the customer’s software development teams and business IT teams to implement future technology strategy, tools, processes and improvements;
- Act as a change agent for technologies and supporting processes by leveraging worlds’ best practices to maximize results measured by performance and availability, business agility, technology freshness, and cost optimization.

Requirements:

- Cloud/DevOps architect with over 5-7 years of experience designing, architecting, and engineering enterprise infrastructure systems, and experience in architecting and deploying cloud IaaS platforms;
- Expertise in infrastructure architectures including server, networking and storage technologies;
- Working understanding of networking concepts and technologies – TCPIP stack, VLAN, Overlay network (GRE, VXLAN), VPN tunnel, Load-balancing, Firewall and WAN technologies;
- Hands-on experience with designing, implementing or support CI/CD process flows would be desirable;
- Hands-on experience with public Infrastructure as a Service cloud product:
- Essential AWS;
- Optional Azure, etc.
- Expertise in one or more of the following Operating Systems – Windows, Linux;
- Expertise in one or few of the following configuration management tools:
- Puppet, Chef, Salt, Ansible.
- Experience in Jenkins / TeamCity / TFS;
- Experience with best practices associated with software defined infrastructure;
- Familiarity with one of the following scripting languages – Bash, PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Perl;
- Familiarity with cloud security best practices including Virtual Private Cloud, Identity Access Management, Security Groups, Security Key Management, and Data Encryption;
- Familiarity with the following technologies is a bonus – Databases (MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle), DNS, Active Directory, Message Queues, VCS (GIT, Mercurial, etc.), Hudson, REST/SOAP APIs;
- Experience with integrating Disaster Recovery capabilities into the virtual architectures;
- Experience with designing high availability or fault tolerant systems (from base infrastructure through to the application);
- Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills;
- Strong team skills including the ability to technically lead and be a team player;
- Possibility to travel and work onsite at client locations.
